Hotel Lafayette
Louise Blanchard Bethune - Principal Architect
391 Washington Street
Buffalo, New York
1904-

The Hotel Lafayette was built with the intention of being open in time for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition; however, did not open until 1904. Originally designed by the architectural firm of Bethune, Bethune & Fuchs, the Hotel Lafayette is in the French Renaissance style. Louise Bethune, one of the designers, was the first female to be widely recognized as a professional architect. Renovations during the periods of 1916-1917 and 1924-1926 effectively doubled the size of the Hotel Lafayette.

Prints are matted with a high quality mat board in neutral cream tones. Images and back board are hinge hung with an acid free artist's tape.

Framed images are framed with a black, solid wood, high quality frame.
